Soyeon, Seoul.

What do you do?
Personal Assistant, Radio Presenter.

Describe your style in three words:
Modernist in S.Korea.

Which music defines the teenage you?
Rollercoaster - 'Come Closer' 
I would say this is the first “Acid Jazz” song in S.Korea. I’ve listened to this many times back in the day and still do sometimes. I think this song leads me to Acid Jazz for the first time.

A British icon or band who inspire your sound?
Amy Winehouse - 'Tears Dry On Their Own'
The first time I heard her sing was when I saw a music show on telly and thought she has a very powerful and soulful voice. Since then I really love her sound.

What has been your all-time favourite gig?
Muse - 'Starlight'
2007, I remember this concert was their first in S.Korea and It also was my first time that I went to a concert with my friends. we had so much fun and played their music all night.

What was the first song you played on repeat?
The Beatles - 'Let It Be' 
I remember my dad listening to this song a lot when I was 7 or 8. He used to play air guitar with it. When I hear this song, It brings back lovely memories from my childhood.

A song from your favourite album?
Aretha Franklin - 'Chain of Fools'
It’s hard to pick just one, but for now, I’ll play this if I had a choice. One of my favourite songs of all time.

A song you wish you’d written?
Small Faces - 'Itchycoo Park'
Honestly, It’s just a perfect song.

What is the last piece of music you bought?
Small Faces - 'Grow Your Own'
Acid Jazz Records is releasing their exclusive EP ‘Four To The Floor’. I love Small Faces and Acid Jazz Records. It’s two of my favourite things. so why not? I had to buy this and really enjoy it.

Best song to bring people together?
Earth, Wind & Fire - 'September'
This has been used as a commercial music a lot in S.Korea so many people know this. If we heard it, we always sing along out loud to this.

Best love song of all time?
Leroy Hutson - 'So in Love With You'
Romantic lyrics, Beautiful sound, Lovely voice.

Is there a song you like that people wouldn’t expect?
X JAPAN - 'X'
I didn’t like them at first, but my husband really love this band and he showed me a biographical movie, “We Are X”. I quite enjoyed it now!

What new music/bands are you listening to?
Mamas Gun - 'This Is The Day (Full Band Version)'
I love Mamas Gun and they’re releasing new single recently which I really like it. They had a concert last year in S.Korea, Hope they come back again soon.
