Describe your style in three words?
Mod casual ska
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
The Who - My Generation - Stereo Version
Played it to death all the time cos it’s a Mod anthem. Had to be done!!!
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Stevie Wonder - A Place In The Sun
Great song, love it, much prefer the rocksteady version by D Dennis and Pat Rhoden.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Liam Gallagher - Paper Crown
It was on LG's As You Were tour in Brighton 2018 - biblical!!!
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Madness - The Prince
It’s a great song, for me this is almost 2Tone heaven.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Amy Winehouse - Back To Black
Not necessarily this song in particular but Amy Winehouse in general, I downloaded an album of hers to see what the hype was all about... and can honestly say she was awesome. RIP Amy.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Live
Not necessarily live but this is 15mins of great music. I've only listened to 1 album of theirs, this was on it and I liked it... the louder, the better.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
The Jam - Going Underground
I wasn’t into mod or anything at school but the day it made front page of The Sun newspaper I got talking to a Mod Face about it and I think that was my turning point for life. I’ve always been a mod at heart weather it was '60s stuff or the revival stuff or Ska.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Specials - Gangsters
2Tone anthem. it’s just an awesome tune!! What a tune to start a record label and a genre.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger
A truly awesome tune guaranteed-to get everyone singing top of their voice in a pub. Love it!!
