Your goth dad.
Our family has '90s SingStar on the PlayStation. As my eight-year-old self was butchering this classic, my dad found his The Cure collection and my love affair with them began.
Long live The Strokes.
An honour to even be in the presence of Ms Bridgers. This song was my most played in 2020 and I'm absolutely not surprised as it got played about five times a day.
It was a close call between something INXS or 'All The Things She Said' by T.a.t.U. INXS have been sewn into my favourite soundtracks and memories for as long as I can remember. Nobody can write pop that gets you dancing like Hutchence could.
I reckon it'll be one of those timeless tunes that we'll have on our playlists for years - lyrically it's gorgeous but it also makes me want to throw on a leather jacket and dance about with my mates. 'Cheer Up Baby' by Inhaler and 'Fuse' by Stone are also close runner ups.
You can't really listen to it quietly, can you?
A lover of the '80s and worrying my dad by getting middle of the night trains back from gigs, armed with cans of Fosters and some cigs someone had stolen off their mum.
Anything by Depeche Mode is an anthem for me, I think they're one of the best bands to ever have been around. I'd sell my left arm and my grandma to see them live (sorry, gran).
