03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Forgettable. Lyricist. Forgettable.

The first track you played on repeat?

Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Oliver's Army

I first heard this song being played in the car with my dad. Something about the melody that just plucks my heartstrings every single time without fail.

A song from your favorite album?

Spector - Chevy Thunder

Life changing. Literally. Spector's 'Enjoy It While It Lasts' was the first album I bought with my own money. Quite an ironic title really, considering every single time I listen to it, it's like the first time all over again.

A song from your most memorable gig?

The Libertines - Death on the Stairs

Very sweaty. Very surreal. Very hungover.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

The Nolans - I'm in the Mood for Dancing

One from the vaults for sure, but definitely one of my mum's favourite songs that she couldn't help but force into my memory.

A new song you're listening to?

Cosmic Crooner - Deep Down in Jazz

An incredible artist from the Netherlands. A complete throwback artist with such style and originality.

Best song to turn up loud?

Tame Impala - The Less I Know The Better

The ultimate driving song. Particularly in the summer wearing a pair of shades.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Peace - California Daze

Again, life changing. This one was the start of something completely new in my life. In terms of both exploration and evolution.

An anthemic song?

Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World

I mean, come on... need I say more?

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Andy Williams - Can't Take My Eyes Off You

A Cal Green classic.
