03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Steady. Confident. Sharp.

The first track you played on repeat?

Motörhead - No Voices In the Sky - Single Version

This song made a lasting impression on 14 y.o. me. Lemmy was a strange new beast, but he set me down a different path (sorry Mom). The album '1916' remains in heavy rotation.

A song from your favorite album?

NOFX - The Separation of Church and Skate

Every song. This album was released in opposition to George W. Bush's reelection efforts and as commentary on US citizens. Unfortunately, nothing's changed.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Warzone - The Sound of Revolution

London, England 1996. Warzone headlining. Classic NYHC. Ray Barbieri spent the entire show swamped by raging fans in the pit. That's entertainment.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Sick Of It All - Step Down

Scene integrity. Arms. Legs. Friends.

A new song you're listening to?

The Drowns - Wolves on the Throne

A brilliant track by Seattle's street punk saviours. Seriously, buy this album.

Best song to turn up loud?

GBH - Drugs Party in 526

GBH instinctively crafted humorous songs about situations quickly turning bad. This album sounds fresh like Jack Endino recorded it just last week. Classic.

A song that defines the teenage you?

"Weird Al" Yankovic - Fat

This should be self-explanatory.

An anthemic song?

AFI - The Boy Who Destroyed The World

Danny Havok writes hooks.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Ramones - Babysitter - UK Version

A song for when you're (almost) ready to call it a night. Pure pop.
