Safiyyah Da Silva, from West London.
Comfy, baggy, chill.
Best gig I’ve been to has to be a band called Dog Is Dead at the Koko in Camden. Simply because I experienced moshing for the first time where I almost got crushed. I’ll never forget that haha.
Half Moon Run because they are one of my favourite bands and Talking Heads because they are iconic.
Hippies because of the freedom they represented. Noughties R&B, indie and soul. Growing up my mum always had the music channels on and I always came home to MTV, and Channel AKA so I absorbed a lot of urban UK music.
Bob Marley, he knew the key to frequencies and vibrations within music and how it can affect people positively. I feel we would have agreed on a lot of the same topics and each other’s views.
Probably Village Underground in Alexandra Palace, just because it's dark, intimate and I just like the layout.
Nina Simone, she is just incredible. A true artist. Listening to her is euphoric.
'Cry Me A River' by Justin Timberlake. I remember playing this on repeat and acting like I was in the music video.
'Sweater Weather' by The Neighbourhood.
'Chamber Of Reflection' by Mac DeMarco.
“When the sun is going down,
And the dark is out to stay,
I picture your smile,
Like it was yesterday”
From 'Yesterday' By Noname.
'You Got Me' by Erykah Badu and The Roots. There are so many beautifully written songs, I haven’t really got one but on the top of my head, I’d say Erykah Badu and The Roots 'You Got Me'.
'Can’t You See' by Total feat. The Notorious B.I.G.
'Everybody Knows You Cried Last Night' by The Fratellis.
'Energy (Stay Far Away)' by Skepta.
'Go Home' by Yellow Days.
'Mean Girls' by Jesse Boykins III.
'Forever' by Sa-Roc.
'K.I.S.S.E.S' by Bent.
