Describe your style in three words?
Vintage, western rocker
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
All Saints - Pure Shores
I have vague memories of me overplaying this and dancing in my bedroom when I was younger. Cringe but still a good song!
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
The Growlers - I'll Be Around
It’s hard to pick a favourite album but I always find myself wanting to listen to city club, the live shows were incredible. Brooks was sporting some serious dad moves when performing this and the memory of that makes me love the song even more.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Jubilee Street
I didn’t sleep for three days after this show and still cry in the shower sometimes when I remember it too clearly. Every song they performed was just absolutely phenomenal.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Wham! - Club Tropicana
Whenever I hear any George Michael song it makes me want to dance. How can you not?
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Tame Impala - Patience
Tame Impala are one of my favourite bands and so the release of a new song always gets me excited!
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Bruce Springsteen - Dancing In the Dark
At home when I’m cleaning the kitchen I always have a playlist on in the background which is filled with anthems such as this and I always have to have it super loud. It gets me through the task of cleaning.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent
Dancing in my local bar with my best friends every Friday when the indie night was on. Such happy memories were made there and this song would always come on!
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Prince - When Doves Cry
Every Prince song is powerful but this one always cheers me up without fail.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)
It’s better than ending the night with Wonderwall.
