We head to the German capital to catch up with our pals at independent stockist HHV on the importance of kiosk culture.

Yuki:

What do you think makes for a good night out?

- For me chilling with the right people is a good night out.

Can you describe Kiosk Culture in one sentence?

- It’s the vibe of everything you need at night.

What do you love most about going out in Berlin?

- That I will be completely relaxed and immersed in the moment, enjoying the time with my friends. I don’t need to worry about anything else in that moment.

Guillaume:

What do you think makes for a good night out?

- The perfect night in my opinion is a special combination of friends, family and sometimes, activities. All of those are enhanced by creating the ultimate comfort zone for each individual going out. Nothing special or crazy must/needs to occur, just the presence of loved ones, creative minds and interesting/unique personalities can define a good night out. Learnings and laughter create epic moments and bonding.

Can you describe Kiosk Culture in one sentence?

- It is a very local and established culture here, very similar to the French bistro culture where we meet up at any given time and regroup - spontaneously - for a quick chat, work or for social interactions. This is where you head when you’ve got nothing planned but still want to hang with the close circle and some friendly faces.

What do you love most about going out in Berlin?

- I like the more secluded aspect of Berlin - its natural locations, lakes and parks, community based events etc.

Berlin has a mix of political and social extremes (left and right) which gives a special vibe to the city: people's strong opinions bleed into the everyday environments of the city as well as during the night life which is a clear visible representation of that. I guess it's fun to be around that extreme German-mega-verse, especially from an observatory POV.
