Describe your style in three words?

Suitable on Stage.

The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?

Kasabian - Club Foot

My Dad showed me he’d bought this new CD in about 2006, 2 years after it’s release saying this band Kasabian are meant to be really good. Club Foot was the first track I heard, and after hearing that riff for the first time it wasn’t going off.

A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?

Radiohead - Reckoner

It’s hard to choose and say definitively that this is my favourite album cause that changes you know, but it is definitely one of my favourites. It’s one I’ve always wanted to be able to write. The album overall is just such an amazing consistent sound that can’t be matched.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Oscar Jerome - Gravitate

Saw Oscar supporting the modern jazz artist Kamasi Washington about a year ago. Was such a pleasant surprise to hear an amazing guitar jazz artist I wasn’t familiar with. Such a groovy tune I remember hearing for the first time.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Glass Animals - Your Love (Déjà Vu)

The newest track from Glass Animals is truly an energetic, dance-fuelled hype tune! I’m not much of a dancer, but I admit to grooving round my kitchen making a brew to this song every day.

A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?

Four Tet - School

I love Four Tet, such a lovely album he’s released here as well. Such a chill vibe with lots of pleasant tones. Really easy to listen to.

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm

Arctic Monkeys, every song, turn it up. C’mon this song is just class let’s face it, who doesn’t scream the riff the entire time.

A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?

The Stone Roses - Made of Stone - Remastered

Growing up in Manchester with a proper Mod Dad who listened to the Beatles, Oasis and Stone Roses on repeat got me into my music and clothes. Fell in love most with Stone Roses though out of this period.

An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?

Suede - Animal Nitrate

This song’s lyrics, driving rhythm and brilliant guitar is just such a perfect muse. I love Suede, though sadly I ain’t seen them live yet, but I definitely will when I can!

Best song to end an all-nighter?

The Black Keys - Weight of Love

I love this song, so very much. I know it’s not everyone's idea of ending an all nighter, but I love the build in this song and can imagine just letting it rise up to those amazing solos and the blast of an ending.
