03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Simple, Classic, Casual.

The first track you played on repeat?

Ocean Colour Scene - The Day We Caught The Train

I was 17 when this album and song came out. I can still remember going and buying the CD from a store in Liverpool and playing it over and over again in my car, on my personal cd player, or just about every party I ever went to.

A song from your favorite album?

The Rolling Stones - Sway - 2009 Mix

I'm a huge Stones fan and I bought this album to listen to while I was on a school bus trip to Belgium and back. This album was unlike anything I had heard from the Stones before and it blew my tiny teenage mind!

A song from your most memorable gig?

Prince - Let's Go Crazy

I've been to quite a few gigs over the years and I was fortunate to see Prince just a couple of years before he died. He was mesmerising on stage and it's a real shame that he isn't here to let more people see his performance live.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Billy Ocean - Red Light Spells Danger

If I could sing, I'd do this in karaoke.

A new song you're listening to?

Cornershop - St Marie Under Canon

A new album from an old band. I don't listen to as much new music as most other people probably but I like this one that came out this year.

Best song to turn up loud?

Kula Shaker - Hush

'90s British rock at it's best.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Cast - Fine Time

I went to college in Liverpool in the '90s and this song from Liverpool band Cast was one of my favourites at that time.

An anthemic song?

Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger

Every party I've ever been to.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Semisonic - Closing Time

What else?
