Where are you from?

I’m from Taipei, Taiwan.

Primavera Sound 2022

Which subcultures have influenced you?

Bedroom indie music.

If you could be on the line up with any bands in history?

Any bands in history? I haven’t really thought about that one. But I really enjoy working closely with music producers, so in that case, I’d love to play with some of my favourite producers, like Mura Masa, Jamie xx and  Four Tet.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?

Chopin is my favourite, so definitely him. As for people in the present, I would say Radiohead.

Your greatest unsung hero (or heroine) in music?

Chopin.

What is the concept of the playlist?

I would say the focus is on feelings and vibes.

The first track you played on repeat?

‘Tiny Cities’ by Flume.

–A song that defines the teenage you?

‘Intro’ by The xx. I LOVED listening to this song when I was a teenager. It makes me feel like I’m digging for something or exploring.

One record you would keep forever?

‘KID A MNESIA’ by Radiohead. I’ve been listening to Radiohead ever since I can remember. My parents always played it at home, so they became my favourite band.

A song lyric that has inspired you?

There’s a lyric in Radiohead’s song ‘Last Flowers’ that says “relieve and release”.

Best song to turn up loud?

‘Cellar Door’ by Angus & Julia Stone. This song just makes me happy every time I listen to it.

New bands you are listening to now?

Ishmael Ensemble. They’re just so damn good. I just found out about this band and everyone should be listening to them!
