Describe your style in three words?
Cool, very cool.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Sex Pistols - Pretty Vacant - Remastered
Quite literally the first song I played on repeat. Think I bought a Sex Pistol compilation CD when I was about 10? It had a picture of a fainted royal guard on the cover, and that, together with the words 'sex' and 'pistol' made it the coolest thing ever. (I mean, I was 10.)
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Sex Pistols - No Feelings
Sex Pistols again, I know. I'll try my best to avoid any more Pistols songs in the rest of the playlist. But this album meant the world to me, and still does. Every time I see it in a shop for a few euros I just have to buy it. Built a nice little collection, believe you me.
A song from your most memorable gig?
New York Dolls - Personality Crisis
Again I wanted to choose a Sex Pistols song, them playing in Belgium in August of 2008 was my first real gig ever. But another Pistols song would be a bit overdoing it huh? Anyways, the Buzzcocks and New York Dolls also played that night. So New York Dolls it is.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Kasabian - Underdog
Hmmmm, not that much of a dancer to be honest. But if jumping also counts as dancing, this song is the one.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
IDLES - Well Done
They're cool, aren't they? Imagine seeing your dentist on stage only wearing underpants.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Beady Eye - Flick of The Finger
Beady Eye, some hate it, some love it. Back when they were still together it was a band I felt part of. Obviously Oasis has 'better' songs, but Beady Eye had its charm man. Loved them.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Stupid Bloody Tuesday - Take It or Leave It
One of my own songs. And quite a good one, even if I say so myself. I wrote it in a bedsit when I was 19 and living in Belgium. Back then I just knew the song would get me on the radio one day, and it did.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Who - My Generation - Stereo Version
Well, do I have to say more?
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Babyshambles - Fuck Forever
My friends always accuse me of only playing songs for 1 minute at the end of an all-nighter. Anyways, whenever I get hold of the AUX, this one always is in my 'short but sweet' DJ set.
