Name, where are you from?
Nicole Sabouné, I live in Stockholm.

What do you do?
I am an artist, songwriter, producer and biochemistry student.

Describe your style in three words?
Mostly black, comfortable and minimalistic.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Hm, quite hard to say. But what made a huge impact on me was when I saw Patti Smith for the first time when I was 17. Then I understood that she was real, and that music could be delivered in such a raw and pure way.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Kate Bush. It would just be an honour...

Which subcultures have influenced you?

I have always been open to a lot of different cultures and I am always eager to get inspired by something I don’t know anything about or something completely unexpected. I will always try to be as curious as possible. When I was a kid, I could change style every week and get totally hung up on very specific stuff for a while and then switch to something else.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
So hard to pick only one. But would love to talk to Laurie Anderson about productions and synthesizers, to Nick Cave about lyrics and songwriting, and I would definitely want to have a glass of wine with Marie Curie and Einstein.

Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
I played in a really cool church in Oslo. It was a great vibe.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
I think Linda Perhacs is amazing, especially her album Parallelograms from 1970.

'If You Leave Me Now' by Chicago.

The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Blue Monday' by New Order.

Best song to end an all-nighter?
