Describe your style in three words?
Cowgirl Wednesday Addams
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
The Strokes - Reptilia
I remember hearing the opening riff when I must have been about 10 years old and then just instantly never wanted to listen to anything else for the rest of the month, so I didn't.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Spector - True Love (For Now)
It's the opening track from my favourite record, acting as the perfect introduction and setting the tone for singer Fred Macpherson's witty and astute lyrics, I still discover new things to love about each song when I listen to the album now.
A song from your most memorable gig?
The Rolling Stones - Start Me Up - Live
I'm usually so much more comfortable in a sticky floored pub checking out new bands, however The Rolling Stones at London Stadium last year absolutely blew my mind, I still think about it every day.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
BlackWaters - Down
I'd love to know how many drinks me and my best friend have sent flying dancing to this.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Talk Show - Fast and Loud
I've seen Talk Show a few times now and am always struck by how menacing yet alluring their sound is. Fast and Loud is their debut release and an absolutely mammoth benchmark, I can't wait to see, or should I see hear, where they go from here.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
FONTAINES D.C. - Too Real
There's so many cool elements of this song to pick out that you can only truly appreciate when it's played loud, but also it's just a fucking great track. I love it when you can hear a singer's accent on record too.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Lily Allen - Smile
I still am a huge Lily Allen fan, but her debut album (that came out just before I became a teenager) informed me of a lot of new (to me) genres, like ska, that I spent my teenage years exploring as a result.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored
The fading in bassline, the building riff and the all-encompassing drop, it's just a massive tune...
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Oasis - Champagne Supernova
Live Forever, Don't Look Back In Anger and Slide Away were all massive contenders here too, but usually a night out with my mates will end with an Oasis song. Champagne Supernova is my favourite.
