The first track you played on repeat?

Robbie Williams - Millennium

My parents used to have this on CD and I remember my mum playing it in the car a lot. I remember watching the video years later and just thinking it was fantastic. It's aged pretty well, or maybe that's the nostalgia talking.

A song from your favorite album?

Nick Drake - Pink Moon

'Pink Moon' as an album is beautifully done. The title track is very peaceful for me. The last of 3 albums and the organic sound that is brought out from his depression is really special. To die being under-appreciated for your work is terrible, with your work being overlooked.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Shame - Tasteless

I saw Shame last year at the start of Summer & it was wild. They were throwing themselves around the stage and screaming at the crowd. To see that just brought about these empowered feelings and I left that gig feeling full of something.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Babyfather - Penelope Freestyle

Dean Blunt is the coolest. This song gives me so much energy whenever I play it and the rhythm and his husky voice just a crazy combination.

A new song you're listening to?

Jockstrap - The City

I've been listening to Taylor Skye & Jockstrap ever since my friend introduced me to them last year. Taylor is a good friend of his & this song manages to morph a piano ballad into this heavy electronic sound which is wild.

Best song to turn up loud?

New Order - Thieves like Us

I'll listen to this song anywhere. The extended version is my favourite. It reminds me of my time at university. I listened to this song as I arrived in my halls in first year and as I left my house in third year so it kinda defines that time in my life.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Kanye West - Devil In A New Dress

I was an angsty teenager trying to find my style & figure out my personality but still calling my grandparents twice a week. This song definitely played into the shift in how I wanted to act and I would play the whole album with my friends before parties.

An anthemic song?

Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels - Dave Bascombe 7" N.Mix

TFF are my favourite '80s band & 'Songs From The Big Chair' holds a special place in my heart. The drums and the synths in 'Head Over' Heels are mega, a song that I'll play very often.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Prince - Raspberry Beret

Prince got it. That's all I got to say about it. Makes me want to buy a Beret, but I can't pull one off.
