Name, where are you from?
Erica, Costanza, Nicola, from Pesaro, Italy.

Describe your style in three words?
Simple, recycled, simpler!

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Bohren & Der Club Of Gore for their music of course, but mostly for the 'scenography'. I totally fell in love with their special sounding 'mirrorball' - a rotating snare drum covered with mirrors that uses low frequencies to keep its snare-wire loudly vibrant. That’s crazy!

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
I’m gonna be trivial - sorry about that! The Beatles, of course. And Sun Ra! What else must I say?

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Anything and everything. I can’t explain exactly what influenced us the most; we’re three independent minds with totally different roots…

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
No doubt: John Cage. I think I’d like to ask him something about mushrooms, Duchamp and I Ching… Maybe he could teach me the art of chess! Probably an hour is not enough!

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
In my opinion, one of the best places we’ve ever been is The Echo in LA, probably because is also one of the last gigs we did during this US tour.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Giacinto Scelsi for his obstinacy towards the potential of the single note. He had a very special way to demonstrate his devotion to Sound.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
'Boy From New York City' by The Manhattan Transfer.

A song that defines the teenage you?
'Let God Be Your Gardener' by Melvins.

One record you would keep forever?
'Plans' by Death Cab For Cutie.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
'Alle Prese Con Una Verde Milonga' by Paolo Conte.

The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Figli Delle Stelle' by Alan Sorrenti.

A song you wished you had written?
'V (Island Song)' by These New Puritans.

Best song to turn up loud?
'Bicycle Bicycle, You Are My Bicycle' by Be Your Own PET.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Miserere Nobis' by Gilberto Gil.

Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Reality' by Richard Sanderson.

Any new artists you are listening to right now?

'Frozen Away' by Altopalo.
