Ellie Bleach. Born and raised in Southend-on-sea, Essex. Now based in London.
Describe your style in three words?
Madmen meets Seinfeld.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
L’Daniel Samuel Young at the George Tavern!
If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Hall and Oates with Vegas residency era Cher.
Which Subcultures have influenced you?
The subreddit for midcentury furniture. eBay users trying to sell a mirror who accidentally take photos of themselves. The Metro's 'Rush Hour Crush' section.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
The Black Dahlia - to drink dry martinis and wonder where it all went wrong.
Of all the venues you’ve been to, which is your favourite?
I’m not very good at favourites and bests, but some of my greatest evenings have taken place at The Windmill Brixton and The George Tavern.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
The folk musician The Last Riverbottomed Fig Plucker. In 2019 he released 170 albums - yet has virtually no following (as of May 2020). It’s a rare treat to encounter someone so prolific yet so unconcerned with being heard. 'Pick Up Some Milk' and 'Death Row' are my current favourites.

I’m a bit of a philistine when it comes to Baroque and Classical but my housemate recommended this and its been a regular Uber aux chord banger ever since.

'My Heart Rate Rapid' by Metronomy.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Seabird' by Alessi Brothers.
