Describe your style in three words?
Relaxed, simple, original
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Green Day - American Idiot
I was in elementary school and my dad put me onto them. I think that’s when my love for music started.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Nirvana - Milk It
Nirvana has always been one of my favorite bands, and this album/track always resonated with me because it was so messy and raw unlike their album prior.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Tigers Jaw - The Sun
This was one of my first live shows I had been to, let alone by myself. I made some new friends at that gig and it was also my first and definitely not last time stage diving and crowd surfing. It was at music hall of Williamsburg.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Elvis Presley - Hound Dog
My mom is probably the biggest Elvis Presley fan in the world. She’s always playing his music and I always end up at least shaking my leg to the beat.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
BROCKHAMPTON - GUMMY
Brockhampton is one of those genre bending groups, that kinda catch you like “woah, they really just said that in a song,” and that’s what I love about them.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
A$AP Rocky - Praise The Lord (Da Shine) (feat. Skepta)
Everywhere, and everything about this song is grounds for full volume. It’s New York, it’s London. New York is in my blood, and I’m part of New York, so it’s no question I’ll be playing this 24/7.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Drake - Forever
This was THE song for me in my early teens. I knew all the lyrics at one point. It had like my favorite artists at the time all in one song, I was so hyped for it.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Frank Ocean - Biking
I don’t know what it is about this song, I just feel like everyone should know it and sing along when it comes on. It’s got frank, Tyler, the Creator, AND Jay Z?? When is that gonna happen again? Probably never.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Beach House - Myth
Beach House just has that sound that makes you feel calm, relaxed, and emotional all at once. This song, I think, is the perfect song to end an all-nighter because it makes you feel like you’re floating. You finished everything you needed to do, and now you could just float away
