Describe your style in three words?
bit of this bit of that
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Rita & The Tiaras - Gone With The Wind Is My Love
In the car on family holidays when I was a youngster.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
infinite bisous - Why Should I?
Right after I left sixth form I was working freelance for a while and wasn't getting much work. I spent a lot of time walking my dog Charlie around the fields near our house. I would listen to this album on repeat, I remember wanting to live inside it.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Sean Nicholas Savage - Hangin On
The gig was in the upstairs of The Pipeline in Brighton. It was before I lived there so I got the train in. It was heavily snowing. I was front row, stood on a chair, he towered over me as I sang back every word. After the show he took me and mate for shots and spoons.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons - The Night
This song has powers over me and my feet.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Symbol Soup - Sure Thing
A friend of mine who's making some really incredible music at the moment. Had this album on repeat since I saw him play at the Lexington a week or so ago. This song is a favourite of mine.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
The Equatics - Where Is Love?
In our dirty uni house we play this as loud as our neighbours will allow it. We all sing a long, from the top of our lungs.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Palma Violets - Best of Friends
Obviously. Remember going to shows with my pals when i was 16, getting the 280 into Oxford with huge groups of us. And many a night in the village of Wendover.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Wave Pictures - I Love You Like A Madman
I remember a friend of mine picked me up in his tiny red car, and showed me this track with great excitement. Since then I've showed a lot of my friends. By the end of school we would all gather round in a huge group hug and scream this as loud as we could.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Jimmy Radcliffe - Long After Tonight Is All Over
Kills me every time.
