What do you do?
I get to travel the world and play music, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do - it’s the best thing ever.

Where are you from?
Clifton, Nottingham

Describe your style in three words?
“Keep it Simple” - for the shows.

You can make a record with anyone from history - who would it be?
It’d be sweet to jam with Jimi Hendrix.

Which British subculture means the most to you?
I guess the Grime scene, it was a big part of where I was from on the estate. It gets people out doing stuff and not just hanging around. Obviously, it’s nothing like what I do, but I certainly appreciate it for sure.

Your favourite guitar riff or solo of all time?
The beat from 'Use Me' by Bill Withers, that’s a great beat that is.

04Playlist Notes

First track you played on repeat?
'Learning The Game' by Buddy Holly.
Or when I was a kid on my Xbox all the time, I always had a Bob Marley & The Wailers CD on repeat - a record called ‘Catch A Fire’.

One record you would keep forever?
'Pink Moon' by Nick Drake.
Stand out track, 'Things Behind The Sun'.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
'One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong' by Leonard Cohen.
“And then I confess that I tortured the dress
that you wore for the world to look through.”

Best gig you have ever been to?
It was actually one I played as well - supporting the Stone Roses in this little 500 cap venue, to see them in a venue that size was pretty great.

A song you wished you had written?
I've always loved ‘Jealous Guy’ by John Lennon.

Any new artists you can’t stop listening to right now?
Jessica Pratt - She's been around for a bit and she’s got an album out, but not that many people really know it, it’s pretty dark - but I reckon it’s great.
