I am the Buyer Manager at Discos Revolver, record collector and DJ for over 20 years.
Describe your style in three words:
Music lover, indie and Earth citizen.
What releases are you most excited about for RSD 2018?
I am interested in a few, but I decided on the reissue of Yung Wu’s first record, which is a group comprised of some of the members of The Feelies.
A British icon or band who inspire your sound?
In general, there are plenty of British music labels that influenced me in the past, such as Creation Records and Sarah Records, but also bands such as My Bloody Valentine, New Order, Chemical Brothers or Primal Scream.
What was the first song you played on repeat?
When I was little, I was caught by 'Yo Quiero Verte Danzar' by Franco Batiatto.
Which music defines the teenage you?
90’s indie music.
A song from your favourite album?
'La Caja Del Diablo' by Los Planetas
A song you wish you’d written?
'Chasing a Bee' by Mercury Rev
What is the last piece of music you bought?
The precious debut of Olden Yolk for Trouble in Mind Records and Black Island’s second record called, 'Disco Nuevo' released by Mama Vynila.
Best song to bring people together?
'Sensitive' by Field Mice What has been your all-time favourite gig? I had been many years wanting to see Sonic Youth, and I finally got to see them performing 'Daydream Nation' in its entirety.
Best love song of all time?
'En Un Mundo Tan Pequeño' by Mercromina.
Is there a song you like that people wouldn’t expect?
I think that people who know me well would expect anything from me at this point, but I will say that I adore 'Return to Innocence' by Enigma.
What new music/bands are you listening to?
There are so many groups and they are all so good: Tall Juan, Sloan Peterson, Moaning, Robert Earl Thomas, Supercrush, Loma, Ewan Cruickshanks, Tomiji, Birdskulls, Math and Physics Club, Mimicking Birds, The BV’s, Corridor, Montero, White Hills, Charles Howl, Mick Trouble, Stutter Steps, Zelig.
