Describe your style in three words?
Trad disco anti.
The first track you played on repeat?
Bryan Adams - Summer Of '69
Extremely Cringeworthy but none the less, a classic. Thanks dad.
A song from your favorite album?
Lily Allen - Cake
I remember listening to this during a low period. It makes me feel confident, to strive to be more confident. It’s a clapback to beauty standards, implying women should be allowed to do what they want and eat what they want.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Slaves - Hypnotised
This gig was rough for a 5ft nothing seventeen-year-old at the time. I remember this being my first gig environment around rock and ever since I've been a massive fan. The energy was insane.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Booker T. & the M.G.'s - Green Onions
This song makes me want to drink a mint julip and smoke a cigar with a '60s Michael Caine in a shanty bar. Arguably one of the best instrumental songs ever.
A new song you're listening to?
joe unknown - Ride
Everything about this song encapsulates a modern punk attitude and it’s very frantic. A proper good song to listen to if you want to feel like the bollocks.
Best song to turn up loud?
Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself
Definitely an at home alone tune to sing at full lung capacity.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Arctic Monkeys - The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala
Constantly pestering my brother and asking him what song is this, every time he played Arctic Monkeys in his bedroom.
An anthemic song?
Robbie Williams - The Road To Mandalay
Every single car journey with my dad when I was younger, Robbie Williams lyrics have since been engraved in my head, from about the age of six. One of the first songs I sang along to properly was a Robbie song. Unreal.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Aretha Franklin - Day Dreaming
This song forces me to accept I need to pack it in and go to bed. The night's been a laugh, but savour the last few minutes before death takes its toll when you next wake up.
