Describe your style in three words?
Oversized, cool and comfortable.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
H.E.R's concert in March 2018 at Koko because I was standing right at the front. It felt really intimate and I could enjoy every minute of it, even though it was a big show.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
1. Little Simz - I really admire how much of an artist she is, like she's such a go-getter and an artist in her own lane.
2. TLC - Despite losing an amazing soul (R.I.P Left Eye) TLC have really inspired me to be carefree, unapologetic, wear baggy clothing but still be comfortable in my femininity, just literally myself. I feel that my style and music channels this energy today.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
The '90s, so tv shows and music culture have influenced me a lot because people used to be so free, especially in music. The songwriting was nostalgic and true; the storytelling allowed you to really envision a picture in your head or somewhat relate to what was being said. That is why I love telling stories in my music because it allows the listener to become imaginative.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Stevie Wonder because he didn't allow his disability to hinder him. He knew that his talent will bring vision to his life regardless. From teaching himself piano by ear to writing amazing classics he showed me that the only person who can stop you from achieving great things is yourself. I'd really love to have a conversation with him someday.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
My favourite venue that I've played would have to be Jazz Cafe when I opened up for Brazilian rapper Emicida. The crowd didn't know who I was but they were so receptive and the energy bounced off every corner in the room, it was such an amazing show.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Sha-Rock - she was the first female rapper in the world and she paved the way for others such as MC Lyte. I don't think she gets her accolades much, but if it wasn't for her stepping out and changing history who knows if female rap would have been something new today.
