A Dan Photo
Describe your style in three words?
Very dark fruits.
The first track you played on repeat?
R.E.M. - Man On The Moon
Had it played to me at primary school by my teacher and fell in love with it, one of my favourites to this day.
A song from your favorite album?
Pulp - I Spy
This is a song I listen to at home, it's all about class divide, especially in Sheffield where I'm from, really has relevance to my life.
A song from your most memorable gig?
The Reytons - On The Back Burner
Went to this gig straight off from a football match which had come straight off getting off a plane from the US. Went with a mate of mine and it was full of people from Sheffield because that's where the band are from, so it felt like being back home even though it was Birmingham.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm
Me and my mate are always buzzing when this comes on in the Leadmill, one of our favourite tracks, just so fast and energetic.
A new song you're listening to?
ONEFOUR - Say It Again
Australian drill really shouldn't work, but the sound is so good and the accents really add something.
Best song to turn up loud?
Kendrick Lamar - HiiiPower
Listen to this at home in my room after dark, and just play it as loud as I can, the entire album really does something for me but this track, in particular, is just the absolute best.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Milburn - 17
Another band from Sheffield, just really sums up how boring it can be growing up working class up north, and how simple your life can end up being sometimes.
An anthemic song?
Kasabian - L.S.F.
This is something I put on in the shower before I'm off out somewhere, the chorus really makes sort of a siege mentality in my head, helps convince myself that I'm actually quite alright when it comes to it, a real me against the world feeling.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Lorde - Ribs
A real end of the night song, just settles me down, sobers me up and makes me think about life, whilst also being just a ridiculously good song from an incredible album.
