The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
The Libertines - Don't Look Back Into The Sun
Dad was listening to it in the car when I was 10, asked him to play it another 4 times after it finished, lyrics stuck in my head all these years.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Northeast Party House - The Haunted
Fantastic Australian indie/dance band. Whole song is just a build to a massive synth drop and ending. Whole album is flawless from start to finish.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Snarky Puppy - Lingus
Life changing musically when I saw them live. Horns are sleazy, Cory Henry on keys is unbelievable, Michael League is a master of bass and song writing.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Arctic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down
Pick anything off this album and it works, this however is a particular tune.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
corto.alto - 3 Years On
Unreal musicianship all round, builds throughout the track and then drops all away before a change of rhythm and a mind bending saxophone solo to conclude.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
IDLES - Never Fight A Man With A Perm
Just a tune that needs to be listened too loudly.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Lower Than Atlantis - Beech Like The Tree
One of my favourite ever British bands, seen them 6+ times before they ended and will always love every album they put out.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Editors - Munich
Catchy, fast paced everything you could want and more.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Stone Roses - Fools Gold - Remastered
10 minute version, end the night with a final bit of dancing.
