Describe your style in three words?
Old school skinhead.
The first track you played on repeat?
The Specials - Gangsters - 2015 Remaster
A great ska tune from a groundbreaking second-wave ska band that lead the way. The song explains itself really.
A song from your favorite album?
Midnight Oil - Who Can Stand In The Way - Remastered Version
The whole album is brilliant but this is a standout song, especially with headphones. The Oils are always at the forefront of the issues that politics loves to ignore.
A song from your most memorable gig?
The Cure - A Forest
So fantastic live, a timeless tune and Robs voice just never seems to age.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Madness - Night Boat To Cairo - 2009 - Remaster
I defy anyone to listen to this and not tap a foot. Hypnotic tune, awesome beat and creative short lyrics from the masters of ska. Top dance tune covered by many other bands also.
A new song you're listening to?
LP - Lost on You
This chick can write great songs and man… can she sing. Heart puller but a brilliant tune.
Best song to turn up loud?
The B-52's - Planet Claire
Just turn this up wherever you are but wind all the windows down in your car and crank it.
A song that defines the teenage you?
The Beat - Mirror in the Bathroom
We all look at ourselves when we were young and compare to others. Even now as an older me, I look back and see myself compared to others. This song always pops in my head.
An anthemic song?
Radiohead - Paranoid Android - Remastered
I can listen to this (and the album) anywhere and anytime. I recall the first time I heard this song and knew then - this will be epic. I was right.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Specials - Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think) - 2015 Remaster
There are two versions of this, one for the start of the night and one for the end. Depending on how you feel determines the order you play them. Great song, great band. That is all!
