Describe your style in three words?
Sophisticated, bold and classic.
The first track you played on repeat?
Céline Dion - Call The Man
I can't say I remember how I listened to it because I can't think of music before Spotify. It was probably on Youtube. In my interpretation the song speaks of times of great trouble, it made me reminiscent of the struggles from war here in Africa...
A song from your favorite album?
Mumford & Sons - October Skies
I listen to it on Spotify, at the right moments only. Again, to me, this song speaks of that moment when you are waking up to the face of your lover. When the weather is just perfect. Foggy morning somewhere on a farm.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Mumford & Sons - Ghosts That We Knew
I can't think of a gig. But this song takes me back to a couple of moments I shared with a loved one.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Marc Anthony - Valió la Pena - Salsa Version
On my phone! I literally purchased this song off of iTunes. I love salsa dancing, and Marc Anthony was born to make this music. SO you have me.
A new song you're listening to?
Justine Skye - Know Myself
I am listening to it on Spotify and trying to get everyone around me into it, so it can always be playing. I would say it's about ego, perhaps letting go of it and truly finding yourself. And just being about you. I haven't really done the lyric listen yet.
Best song to turn up loud?
Harry Styles - Adore You
it's about unconditional love. May that be to a mother, a pet, a lover, you name it. It's a feel-good tune.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Avril Lavigne - Hot
I used to listen to it on CD actually. I say this song or any Avril Lavigne song really because I was obsessed with this woman. She came out right at the beginning of my teen years. And defined every single piece of it.
An anthemic song?
KT Tunstall - Invisible Empire
I just needed to slip one of hers in here.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Bebel Gilberto - Samba da Benção
This song is about spreading joy. It's a poetic reflection of trying to teach that it's better to experience life on a positive note rather than a sad one.
