Name, where are you from?
Thee Dagger Debs Delia, Laura and Letty. We’re mostly from the North but based in the South-East and are scattered round the region.

Describe your style in three words?
Pure pub rock.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
I think the best ones are where you get to play with friends and the recent support we did for Giuda at the 100 Club was an excellent night.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
1970s Dr Feelgood.
Nine Below Zero at any point.

Which Subcultures have influenced you?
As a band I reckon the boot boys and general pub-goers of the 60s and 70s in this country enjoyed a good mix of classic R'n'B and stompers, which is right up our alley and Australian Sharpies are not necessarily an influence but I think we have the same rockin’ taste as these groups of kids. They listened to a really good mix of blues, glam rock and power pop.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I think perhaps as a band it would be Lee Brilleaux. He’s our hero and is the essence of pub rock. From his filthy white suit to his love of beer.

Of all the venues you’ve been to, which is your favourite?
The Lexington in London is the perfect size, right sound guys always and you can have one hell of a Xmas party which we have done a couple of times playing with there with friends.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
We’d have to split it into three as we have a mixed bag of tastes!
Letty: Dick Dale although loved not by half enough people. Definitely should have been a billionaire.
Laura: Sister Rosetta Tharpe - At least she’s received a lot more recognition in recent years (deservedly so!) but it’s just a shame it’s taken so long.
Delia: Lee Hazelwood love everything he does.
