Describe your style in three words?
Broad Nostalgic Simple
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby
Yours Truly, Angry Mob was probably the first CD I was bought because Ruby was my favorite song on one of my dads compilation CD's. I can't remember much of being 10 other than driving to the beach for a family day out with this song blasting.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Hold That Thought
Something Else came out June last year and Hold That Thought is the first track on that album, it was definitely the song of the summer for me and that album was one of my first records.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Kasabian - L.S.F.
The gig was at the Motorpoint arena in Cardiff in 2017, if you’ve ever seen Kasabian live you’d know they always put on a show. Cardiff had the highest decibel chant recorded on that tour, over Leicester and London.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Midland - Final Credits
One time specifically there was some trap 'music' playing at a flat party, which dampened our souls after a long day of drinking. Luckily a friend was at hand to supply this uplifting tune that changed the mood of the party instantly.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Kurt Vile - Come Again
I love the simple country guitar style of this song, easy listening and a good sing along. If you haven't heard Kurt Vile's new album, it's fantastic.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Mall Grab - Liverpool Street In The Rain
Speakers or headphones, partying or working, anytime you need a little something this song does the trick. After Mall Grab came on to it in Motion its always stuck in my head as motivation boost.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Green Day - Basket Case
My uncle was a massive Green Day fan. He bought me my electric and amp that I still use now. He gave me about 5 of his Green Day sheet music books. Basket Case is just one of those throwback songs from Dookie that was one of my favorite albums growing up.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Streets - Fit but You Know It
I don't think powerful is the right word to describe this song but it is definitely a modern British anthem. It tells a story so commonly known to all in a delightfully crude way that I think everyone who's been on a cheesy night out can appreciate.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Beatles - It's All Too Much
At the end of the night its all too much. The Beatles have a song for any time any where.
