A Alessandro Benvenuti Photo
Name, where are you from?
Alessandro, I’m from Venice, Italy but now I live in Milan.
What do you do?
Stylist and content creator.
Describe your style in three words?
Adaptable, Genderless, Fast.
What’s the best gig you've ever been to?
Asap Rocky in Amsterdam, 2015. Asap Rocky was my favourite artist at the time and was my first time in Amsterdam too.
If you could put any three bands in history on a lineup?
The Libertines, Strokes and Justin Timberlake from the 'What Goes Around.../...Comes Around' era. Looks like a 2007 Glastonbury or Reading festival line up.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
Indie Rock, Kawaii and Emo.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Lil Peep, I love him. I wish I could have met him when he was alive.
Where is your favourite independent venue in Italy?
New Age in Treviso. Literally, the only place where I could listen to good music when I was in Venice.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Paolo Nutini, he reminds me of the first time I went to London when I was a child. His track was everywhere, on the radio on the taxi everywhere.
The first track you played on repeat?
'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' by Bladee feat Ecco2k.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Seventeen Forever' by Metro Station. I tattoed 17 on my chest too.
One record you would keep forever?
'What Katie Did' by The Libertines.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
'Cry Me a River' by Justin Timberlake. Everyone has a Britney in their life.
A song you wished you had written?
'Thinkin' Bout You' by Frank Ocean. I wish I could sing like Frank Ocean too.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Perfect' by Capoxxo. I’m obsessed with those new emo trap hardstyle dance revolution artists.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Sign Of The Times' by Harry Styles. Not a Directioner but I f*cking love Harry Styles, one of my style icons.
A song to get you straight on the dance floor?
'Mr Brightside' by The Killers. Do you remember that song starting as soon as you enter the club in the late ’00s? Yes. Mr Brightside.
Best song to end an all nighter?
'She Wants To Move' by N.E.R.D.
An Italian Band you would recommend?
Not a band but Lil Jolie.
