Name, where are you from?
We’re Coach Party, From the Isle of Wight.

Describe your style in three words?
Tasteful '90s flannel.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Fleetwood Mac when they played Isle of Wight festival a few years ago. It was one of the last shows they did with all five of them and everything about that gig blew the minds of a lot of island folk including us. Felt like a privilege to watch a band like that in your hometown.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
We’re all mutually big Weezer fans so they would be in there, I think they’re a real big influence on a lot of bands around at the moment including us, and they have endless bangers. I think a nice contrast to that would be someone like ELO. Jeff Lynne is a legend and the only man who can pull off wearing sunglasses all the time, so that’s enough of a reason to get him involved.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
I guess as a group we all naturally gravitate to the '90s grunge subculture, both in music and fashion. We were all born around that time so subconsciously the way we make music is influenced heavily from that era, and likewise, with fashion, the feeling of breaking free and embracing individuality, whether that’s wearing something pretty out there or just throwing on some jeans and a t-shirt has always been our outlook. Just do what you want people.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Has to be John Lennon. Do I have to give a reason?

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
We’ve always had a great time at The Joiners in Southampton both playing there and watching gigs. So many amazing bands have been through that place and hopefully loads more will too.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
I’ve always felt bad for Krist Novoselic, played bass in Nirvana but is the forgotten man. Great sound, great name, and they wouldn’t have been the same band without him. We salute you Krist.
