‘This Is Ska Festival 2018’ Rosslau, Germany.

Warm, soothing melody and lyrics. Distinctive vocal by one of the greatest soul singers of all time.
'Know Your Rights' by The Clash.
I have a weak spot for almost every guitar riff by Joe Strummer. This song is one of em’.
'Tiada Kata Secantik Bahasa' by P.Ramlee.
Very beautiful melody and lyrics it touches my soul and gives me goosebumps.
'Siapa Dia' by Ahmad Fauzee.
I always wanted to be Ahmad Fauzee when I was a kid. I adore him so much that I used to imitate his voice, his style and his moves – in front of a mirror.
'Never Grow Old' by Toots & The Maytals.
Because I never grow old…
'Ghost Town' by The Specials.
Brilliantly unique. A song from the 2-tone era that still makes sense today.
'Gotta Find A Way' by Bob & Gene.
Their voices blended beautifully & this song is deep! As much as I love music from different styles and artists, I am also a sucker to Northern Soul records.
'I’d Rather Go Blind' by Etta James.
My all-time favourite female gospel prodigy. This song was covered by various other artists, Beyonce and Adele to name a few, but the original is still the greatest. Etta could dig out the heart of this song and present it raw.
'Willow Tree' by Alton Ellis.
I can relate this song to on a deep emotional level. Beautiful rocksteady tune with sweet-voiced and smooth vocal style by the one and only ‘Godfather of Rocksteady’ – Alton Ellis.
'Layu Sebelum Berkembang' by Emilia Contessa.
This song reminds me of my late mother. One of my favorite memories from when I was young is when my mother singing and playing this song on repeat non-stop.
'Better Things' by Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings.
The song, the sound, the arrangement. How the hell did that happen?
'Storm Warning' by The Skatalites.
If you have not listened to the Skatalites, you won’t know what Ska is. The Skatalites will always be my biggest source of inspiration.
