A Egyptian Blue Photo
Name, where are you from?
Andy and Leith here, we are from Brighton via the borderlines of Suffolk/ Essex.
Describe your style in three words?
Scruffy yet Smart!
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
We caught The Moonlandingz in Brixton last year, that was a top show - it must have been good as we didn't make it home and ended up sleeping at Gatwick Airport!
If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
The Mummies and Wire.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
Bands such as Joy Division and The Fall have definitely influenced us one way or another - so I guess post-punk is the main subculture.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Neil Armstrong must be an interesting guy, he's been places!
Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
The Lock Tavern in Camden (RIP) is one we used to love, as it was so sweaty and crammed, anything of that nature will do the trick. In Brighton our current favourite is the Prince Albert, it's also at the end of our road!
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Richard Lloyd of television has to be up there as an unsung hero, the track '1880 or so' is a particular favourite of ours.
The first track you played on repeat?
'Carnival of Sorts (Boxcars)' by REM.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Muffin Man' by Frank Zappa.
One record you would keep forever?
'Screamadelica' by Primal Scream.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
“I want to live in a world by accident”
From 'Bad Blood' by So-Called Humans. It Haunts me.
The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Nights Over Egypt' by The Jones Girls.
A song you wished you had written?
'Marquee Moon' by Television.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Drained Lake' by Metz.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Hung Up On My Baby' by Isaac Hayes.
Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Dreams Never End' by New Order.
Any new bands you are listening to right now?
'Gig Economy' by Mush.
'Just in the Band' by Silverbacks.
