The first track you played on repeat?
The Beatles - She Loves You - Mono Version / Remastered 2009
I got this album for Xmas when I was a little boy and it changed my life forever. The drums, the speed of it all, the vocals. A song that starts with the chorus, brilliant!
A song from your favorite album?
Oasis - Hey Now!
The most underrated song from my favourite album of all time. Amazingly poetic lyrics, incredible guitar sound, somewhat psychedelic tune and hardly ever played live. What a hidden gem!
A song from your most memorable gig?
The Cure - From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea
The first proper gig I've ever been to. Summer of '98. Not bad for a 15-year-old. This was my most treasured moment from the album Wish, so I was overwhelmed watching the band perform this uncanny tune meters away from me.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Motörhead - Stay Clean
The groove on it, the rhythm and the bass lines. Pure electricity, impossible to stay quiet too.
A new song you're listening to?
MORDÁI - Látod rózsám
The most exciting and interesting band of recent years. There's a strong legacy and loads of history influencing this. Cigarettes & roses. There's a darkness to it I find very appealing.
Best song to turn up loud?
The Who - My Generation
That famous scene of Quadrophenia when this song gets played? That's how I feel every time I listen to it!
A song that defines the teenage you?
Manic Street Preachers - Motorcycle Emptiness - Remastered
Long before I could try to make any sense of the lyrics I saw the video on a TV show and this beautiful melody haunted me for years. The Manics have been with me ever since.
An anthemic song?
John Lennon - Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) - Remastered 2010
I believe Lennon tried to input the same kind of vibe into other songs but he hit the jackpot on this one. Really makes you wanna sing along. The words, the melody, his voice and delivery are out of this world.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Beloved - The Sun Rising
Very visual song, describes in detail the culmination of the greatest night out. You can actually feel the party coming to an end, but also an era.
