Name, where are you from?
gglum, Croydon, South London.
Describe your style in three words?
Lazy, baggy, blue.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
We used to go and see our friends play small gigs every week in college. Sometimes I really miss those. There was one that I really remember at the Bread and Roses in Clapham where the whole line up was our friends (Something in the Lake, 811 Soul and Iris Holmes + SOMOH) and the place was the most packed out that we'd seen up until that point. It was such a good show and such a nice memory.
If you could be on the line up with any two bands or artists in history?
Bjork and Car Seat Headrest (I just luv them).
Which Subcultures have influenced you?
I had a big emo moment for a few years. That probably had quite a big impact in my noggin somewhere. I hung out with quite a few skaters at that time as well. I feel like it subconsciously affects a lot my life haha.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Elliott Smith. He’s a very big inspiration to my music (even if it might not seem like it).
Of all the venues you’ve been to, which is your favourite?
Windmill in Brixton. I always like going there- they get weird artists to play and I always end up bumping into someone I know.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Alex G. He’s super cool, makes super weird tunes. He was another inspiration that got me back into music when I was a bit lost on what I wanted to do.

The first track you played on repeat?
'Revolution Rock' by The Clash. I started listening to The Clash just before I changed schools as a teenager and for my first month at my new school I listened to the 'London Calling' album on the way to school every single day.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Crack Rock Steady' by Choking Victim. It just reminds me of when I first felt like I had the freedom that a teenager has. It reminds me of running about London in the summer being a little rascal.
One record you would keep forever?
'The Glow Pt. 2' by The Microphones. That has been my favourite album for about 4 years and absolutely changed my life. I was going to give up making music just before I listened to it but after I heard it, it all just clicked.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
All the lyrics in 'I Was All Over Her' by Salvia Palth. There aren’t many words in that song but they’re beautiful. So descriptive while being so blunt as well- it’s just a masterpiece.
A song you wished you had written?
'Dark Turn Of Mind' by Gillian Welch. That song is UNREAL. Absolutely gorgeous songwriting.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Ghost Hardware' by Burial. I have blasted that song many times in the past and it feels crazy. Actually, I don’t listen to much of that music anymore, maybe I should get back into it.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'That’s All Right' by Elvis Presley. My parents are Rockabillies so I was raised on a bunch of ’50s, Country, Gospel, Hillbilly and Jazz music which I don’t think is very usual but it’s very nostalgic to me.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Two Thousand and Seventeen' by Four Tet. It’s simply a classic. Such a good way to ease out of a long night out.
Any new bands you are into at the moment?
'Pretty White Light, Burns Like Hell' by Bowling Green Massacre. I know the band so it’s not too new but some of the new unreleased stuff I’ve heard is absolutely nuts and they’re taking way too long to put it out.
