Describe your style in three words?
Classic yet rebellion.
The first track you played on repeat?
Alan Walker - Spectre
The momentum pulse and its well-designed layers of sound elements always gives me lots of inspirations when writing thesis... Putting your headphone or earphone on, it would give you a completely different experience, I promise!
A song from your favorite album?
Alan Walker - Faded
Well, my favourite album has to be Alan Walker's 'Different World'. It is an album that tells a story. I appreciate how musical elements and motives in each track of this album are connected, and how they reflect each other. Of course, who would not like 'Faded' anyway...
A song from your most memorable gig?
Franz Liszt - La Campanella (From Six Grandes Etudes de Paganini, S.141)
I remembered how nervous I was about to play it for my recital at New York's Carnegie Hall when I was 13. Later, I also played it at the presence of Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall at the Dumfries House. So, it's a song that has been with me for some of my memorable gigs!
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Tez Cadey - Seve - Radio Edit
The first song I learnt for shuffle dance is this song. So, I guess that's why...
A new song you're listening to?
Jay Chou - Mojito
It's a new song released by Jay Chou. Everyone seems to be listening to it right now, so I think I'd better check it out as well!
Best song to turn up loud?
Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No.5 In C Minor, Op.67: 4. Allegro
When I am thinking about music being loud, it's not only about volume but about the strength that it passes onto people. Beethoven definitely knows how to handle that! The humanity and positivity in his music always transfer powerful and generous energy to people.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Frédéric Chopin - Polonaise in A Flat Major, Op.53 - "Heroique"
I was definitely determined in believing what I did. I always think making classical music and beyond is rebelling as it's not mainstream music comparing to pop music. So, as a youngster who'd been confident in it, the whole thing has been cool and bold!
An anthemic song?
KSHMR - Bazaar - Official Sunburn Goa 2015 Anthem
I listened to it on a playlist on Apple Music. And I have to say, it's very cool and catchy music!
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Chainsmokers - Something Just Like This
I just like this so much!
