Describe your style in three words?
Cool mod punk.
The first track you played on repeat?
The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
I don't remember the first time but it's absolutely great. This song comes back often in my life and sums up my feelings in many situations: from work to friendship to love... it is always deep and perfect.
A song from your favorite album?
The Velvet Underground - Heroin
When I listen to this song I feel like crying. I listen to it whenever I feel sad and I think maybe Lou Reed was sad too when he wrote this song. I also think it has an absolutely avant-garde text for the time and now it is more relevant than ever.
A song from your most memorable gig?
The Stooges - No Fun
I listened to this song during the Iggy Pop and the Stooges reunion tour in 2011 in Milan. Iggy was crazy and the fans too. Really a super cool song.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime - 2005 Remaster
When this song starts on the dance floor I feel transported to NY and when the African rhythm enters my veins... it's impossible to stay still. An incredible cool shape of funk.
A new song you're listening to?
Amyl and The Sniffers - Hertz
When I feel sad and think I'm out of place, then this song is perfect. I love Amyl, her style, her dance and the absolutely street way of singing. This band is bringing '70s punk back to the scene.
Best song to turn up loud?
The Stone Roses - This Is the One - Remastered
The Stone Roses are probably one of my favourite bands, I always listen to them in the car on my way to work. This song has an intro that loads you up and then when it starts then it's the right time to turn up the volume and sing out loud pretending to be Ian Brown.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Rage Against The Machine - Guerrilla Radio
When I was a teenager we were in a full crossover wave. Those sounds halfway between funk, '70s hard rock and rap had won me over. Furthermore, I identified 100% with the political ideology of the RATM. Hasta la victoria siempre.
An anthemic song?
The Clash - I Fought the Law
Whenever I feel like a loser I think about this song and its lyrics. I think of the suffering of losers and those who have nothing. Absolutely iconic song.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger - Remastered
When the club lights come on and everything seems to end, then it's time to hug and sing Oasis… a new dawn is upon us.
