Name, where are you from?
Paco Fernández, Madrid.

What do you do?
I play, and I represent artists & labels (Century Media Records, Maika Makovski, Angelus Apatrida, Bala). I design, DJ, write and have a record store/pizza joint in Malasaña, Madrid, it’s called Cuervo Store.

Describe your style in three words? 
Rock and roll.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
The Stone Roses’ reunion, 2012 I believe.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Cheap Trick and The Cars, because they embrace all the dichotomies that represent rock to me and what I do with my music; irony vs sincerity, classicism vs futurism, punk schooled antagonism vs arena rock accessibility, all meld together in a power-pop template.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Punk, rock n roll and heavy metal. Those are the styles that I couldn’t stop listening in my teens, they defined my life at that moment and filled it with a sense, and an urgency, that went beyond the art itself.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Patti Smith because I’m fascinated by everything in her; her sensibility, her strength, her poetry, her music, her activism and even her family approach.

Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Wurlitzer Ballroom in Madrid, because that’s literally home to me.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Wendy O. Williams, because she was the first artist that made me realize that music can eventually be the way to approach other artistic and ideological aspirations.
