Describe your style in three words?
Simple. Minimalistic. Plain.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge
‘Under the Bridge’ by RHCP makes me feel that there is a way out even if all doors are closed. Can’t wait for John Frusciante to reunite with the band.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Joy Division - Disorder - 2007 Remaster
With 'Unknown Pleasures', Ian Curtis and Joy Division achieved more than some artists do throughout their life-long career. Strongly recommend watching the film 'Control' directed by Anton Corbijn.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Foals - What Went Down
‘What Went Down’ by Foals at Ally Pally in June 2019 when I saw them live for the first time - all time favourite gig so far.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Flume - Drop The Game
Wanted to put ‘Dancing Shoes’ by Arctic Monkeys as it’s so suitable but six years later still can’t get the moves from the clip for ‘Drop The Game’ by Flume and Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Muzz - Bad Feeling
‘Bad Feeling’ is a first track from Paul Banks of Interpol’s new supergroup Muzz.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
The Cranberries - Zombie
Was hard to choose between the ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries and U2’s 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. Some songs are just made to be played loud, so people know, remember and never forget
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Oasis - Supersonic
Just a gentle reminder that Oasis is one of the greatest bands ever which I can listen non-stop. And yes, Liam and Noel need to forgive the past, shake their hands and move on.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Europe - The Final Countdown
Kudos to my father who’s grown me on music from his childhood and teenage days cultivating my admiration to the legends like AC/DC, Metallica, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and many more; ‘The Final Countdown’ by Europe is a cherry on top of a cake.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Smiths - There Is a Light That Never Goes Out - 2011 Remaster
What on earth can be better than ‘There is a Light That Never Goes Out’ by The Smiths for a dessert?
