Describe your style in three words?
Melodic/Pentatonic/Titanic.
What made you decide to be a singer?
I had plenty of time at school, so I started making music myself. At first, I was just making some instrumental stuff but it seemed a bit boring without any vocals. Thus, I started to sing something online.
If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Yo la Tengo. They make the most heartfelt music in the world. They warm my heart when I listen to their album every time. Haruomi Hosono - a legendary composer in Japan, his vision and ideas never get old.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
Hip-hop. Everything started from the bottom.
Where was the most memorable show you ever played?
Supporting act for The Marias. Playing alongside an international band was unbelievable and they followed me back on Instagram!
Tell me about your favourite independent venue in Hong Kong?
TTN (This Town Need) but it is temporarily closed now. This is the breeding ground of Hong Kong indie music and culture. Hopefully, we will meet again shortly.
The first track you played on repeat?
'Today Is The Day' by Yo La Tengo.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'I Don’t Know How To Love' by The Drums
One record you would keep forever?
'Love Island' by Deodato.
A song lyrics that have inspired you?
"人在風暴中 無奈的打轉 (People spin helplessly in the storm),
如像風砂 倦也須兜轉 (Like sandstorm, have to hang around even tired),
無奈的疾衝 無奈的刁轉 (Helplessly rush, helplessly twist),
曾熱的面孔 漸缺少溫 (The hot face is cooling down)"
The song of HK movie 'The Inside Story'.
A song you wished you had written?
'San Juan Sunset' by Deodato.
Best song to turn up loud?
'1979' by The Smashing Pumpkins.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Shook Ones, Pt. II' by Mobb Deep.
The song to get you straight on the dance floor?
'Blue Monday' by New Order.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
'You Make it Easy' by Air, Beth Hirsch.
A Hong Kong Band you would recommend and your favourite track?
'Indie Ching' by N.Y.P.D.
