Stylist — London
A Dylan Weller Photo
Name, where are you from?
Dylan Weller. I like to think I have two homes - Silver Lake in LA and West London.
What do you do?
I’m a stylist.
Describe your style in three words?
Confident and comfy.
Which music defines the teenage you?
There’s not one particular genre, I loved and listened to all music growing up.
A British icon who has inspired you, and why?
Vivienne Westwood: She’s inspirational on a creative, cultural and environmental level and I think her legacy will be something taught to younger generations years to come.
What has been your all-time favourite gig?
One of my favourite gigs was actually my dad’s in Japan. Me and my sister were on stage for most of it playing music and I’ll never forget the exhilaration I felt.
What is your favourite independent venue to watch live music?
House of Blues in LA is right by my house and puts on some fun gigs.
What was the first song you played on repeat?
'Tomorrow Comes Today' by Gorillaz.
A song you wish you'd written?
'Both Sides Of The Moon' by Celeste. I think it’s the most beautiful song out right now.
A song from your favourite album?
'Hey Mama' by Kanye West from 'Late Registration'.
What is the last piece of music you bought?
An Alice Coltrane record.
Best song to bring people together?
'Suede' by NxWorries (Anderson.Paak & Knxwledge).
Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Biking (solo)' by Frank Ocean.
The best love song of all time?
'The Look Of Love' by Dusty Springfield or 'Baby' by Donnie & Joe Emerson… I can’t pick just one!
Is there a song you like that people wouldn't expect?
'When The Sun Comes Out' by Kadiata & Sam Wise.
What new music are you listening to?
The music coming out of London at the moment can’t be beaten, all these female artists are killing it:
'Lately' by Celeste.
'Attention Span Of A Cookie' by Fatima.
'Stormy Nights' by Tara Lily.
