What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Gesaffelstein at Terminal 5 in NYC in 2014. I was not exposed to techno/electro at all growing up in New Jersey, so discovering him in my teens was embarrassingly exciting. I'd nominate 'Duel' off of 'Aleph'.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands/artists in history?
M.I.A. and Grimes. When I heard Bucky Done Gun in 6th grade, it absolutely blew my mind. In 7th grade, I'd listen to 'Galang' on the bus before soccer games at other schools. Both insane genius visionaries who, beyond their ability to create phenomenal art, have managed to retain their sanity as female composers/producers/multimedia artists despite pre-woke music industry misogyny. '4ÆM' is the ethereal breakbeat pop anthem of my dreams.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
When I was in middle school I was big into rocksteady and ska. '80s hardcore when I was in college. My dad listened to a lot of rockabilly and punk when I was a kid, my mom was in a new wave band. Aside from what I was exposed to as a kid, right now I’m oddly obsessed with '90s/millennium rave. I fantasize about the ritual of finding and experiencing underground electronic music in a time when illegal warehouse parties/raves were still fresh and novel. That's a nerdy answer but it's true. I also f*ck with early 2000s nu-metal motifs/energy heavily.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Jesus H. Christ? Maybe Poly Styrene? She was able to write tongue-in-cheek songs about messed up stuff. I love that. I'm also nostalgic about 'Germ Free Adolescents'. I liked singing the intro when I was little, "some people think little girls should be seen and not heard, but I say oh bondage! up yours!"'|

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
I haven’t played many shows but probably Strongroom Bar in London. That place has a rich history, the studios, art, etc are a real vibe. I mean, Jamie Reid covered the place with trippy astrological artwork, that's epic.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Lorn. His music helps me process my deep dark feelings :(
