Describe your style in three words?
Punk but sharp.
The first track you played on repeat?
Green Day - Geek Stink Breath
I remember this being the first song I was really attached to. I played this song to no end as a teen and it was one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar.
A song from your favorite album?
Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia
Gotta be the best song from this iconic album. This song is a masterpiece from beginning to end, all nine minutes of it.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Orville Peck - Take You Back (The Iron Hoof Cattle Call)
Orville Peck was the last artist that I saw before the pandemic hit. This was my first introduction to his music and I’ve been obsessed ever since, this song was by far the most memorable from this show.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Madness - One Step Beyond
This song is a dance song with guitars and it never fails to get me going. 'One Step Beyond' was my gateway to ska and reggae.
A new song you're listening to?
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes - My Town (feat. Joe Talbot)
Can’t get enough of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen, and this song gets me pumped for their new album.
Best song to turn up loud?
Slipknot - Left Behind
I wouldn’t consider myself a huge fan of metal but I love Slipknot. 'Iowa' is full of incredible tracks and this one is the best to crank up loud.
A song that defines the teenage you?
blink-182 - I Miss You
Emo feels the whole way through. This song defined a generation of angsty teens and was a tune that you could often find me listening to in my room as a youth.
An anthemic song?
New Order - Blue Monday
This song has to be one of the best songs of all time, as it defined an entire genre of music from the early '80s. I often wish I could time travel so that I could find myself in the Hacienda dancing to this anthem.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Cure - Lullaby - Remastered
Not your typical all-nighter tune but I have a fond memory of being at university and a DJ playing an amazing mix of this song.
