Manuel Jiménez. From Manhattan originally, Washington Heights. I was lucky enough to spend my childhood growing up in the Dominican Republic.
What do you do?
Lately, I’ve been skating a lot and screenprinting tees for loved ones.
Describe your style in three words?
My style in three words. “Edgy”, Baggy, and timeless.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to in New York?
The gig I had the most fun at was the MC5 50th anniversary at Le Poison Rouge in New York. Being able to see Wayne Kramer work his magic was a moment for me. The spirit never dies! Rest easy Rob.

Punk, hard rock, metal, hip-hop, and some jazz. I got ears for everything really, good music is good music!
Best American musician?
Phil Anselmo has to be one of my all-time favourites.
Where is your favourite independent venue in New York?
I like The Broadway. Been there a few times now to see friends perform. It’s always a good time.
What is the best-kept secret in New York?
I’d say the art that’s all over the city. Some of the good stuff doesn’t make it into the museums. keep your eyes peeled!

The Lower East Side and Soho are fun spots to hang at. All kinds of things always going on. Some you wouldn’t want to miss out on!

'Motor City Is Burning' by MC5.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Little Johnny Jewel Pt 1 & 2' by Television.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
"I still got a lotta love to give"
From 'Still Got A Lotta Love' by House Of Pain.
A song you wished you had written?
'Scarlet Fields' by The Horrors.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Cosmic Funk' by Lonnie Liston Smith and the Cosmic Echoes.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Desnúdate Mujer' by Frankie Ruiz.
A song to get you straight on the dance floor?

Any new bands you’re into at the moment?
