Describe your style in three words?
Laid-back, Indie, Urban .
If you could make a record with anyone from history?
Jeff Buckley - I've always thought the guy was a genius. I've been massively inspired by his sound, particularly the guitar sound, as well as his inventive songwriting - in terms of his irregular song structures and use of obscure guitar tunings. His singing voice is also one of the best ever. I was listening to his track 'Dream Brother' the other day and was blown away by it all over again.
What’s the best show you’ve ever been to?
I've never been so moved by a performance as when I saw Bon Iver at Glastonbury in 2011. I watched the show on my own because none of my friends at Glastonbury knew or cared who he was at that point, and stupidly missed it. I was in a reverie for most of it. I was absolutely obsessed by 'For Emma, Forever Ago' and the 'Blood Bank' EP, and I remember the intensity of that show left me stunned and in awe for quite some time after it. I still remember the shivers and goosebumps I had whilst they played 'Blood Bank'.
What British music icons inspire your sound today?
The Smiths are a big influence on us, the songwriting and lyrics - and Brian Eno's production has also been a big inspiration on our sound. 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' by The Smiths and 'An Ending (Ascent)' by Brian Eno are two examples.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Jesus - I guess just to see what he was really like...
Which British subculture means the most to you?
The DIY ethos of the punk movement has been important in shaping my outlook on the music industry.
If you could share the bill with any British band in history?
Radiohead - because they're one of the best bands ever. I've seen them live a few times and to share a stage with them would be a dream come true. 'Idioteque' by Radiohead is one of my favourite songs.
What music did you listen to growing up?
I was particularly obsessed with Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Buckley growing up, as well as a lot of hip hop; like Eminem and Dr Dre. 'Little Wing' is my favourite Jimi Hendrix song.

'Turn On The Bright Lights' by Interpol. 'PDA' is an incredible song from that album.

'Lover, You Should've Come Over' on Grace by Jeff Buckley.

'To Build A Home' by Cinematic Orchestra.

'Still D.R.E' by Dr Dre from '2001'.
What was the last piece of music you bought?
I mainly listen to music on Spotify now, and only ever download songs to play in DJ sets. I was DJing a night called 'Throwback' that I run at The Tooting Tram & Social and the most recent track I bought was 'Get Down Tonight' by KC & The Sunshine Band.
A song lyric that inspires you?

and she wanted to get out of town.
We were on a rollercoaster,
they go nowhere,
they just land you back on the ground"
Inspires me as it's a very clever lyric in the song 'Through a Glass' by Henry Jamison.
Is there a song you like that people wouldn’t expect?
'Work from Home' by Fifth Harmony is one of my favourite songs of last year.

'Wicked Game' by Chris Isaak.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Bulls on Parade' by Rage Against The Machine.
Best song to bring people together?
'Sexual Healing' by Marvin Gaye.

'Does She Even Know' by IDER
It was produced by a friend of ours Shura, the production is beautiful and the lyrics are absolutely heartbreaking.
'3WW' by Alt-J
The song gets better with every listen and the video is superb.
'Loss' by Phoria
A truly incredible piece of music.
'Choir To The Wild - Extended' by Solomon Grey
Because the ending of that song is what I'd imagine they'd play as you enter the pearly gates of Heaven.
