A Rifky Krismon Photo
Name, what do you do?
I’m Rifky Krismon, designer and creative director.
Describe your style in three words?
Casual, simple, comfortable.
What does the Fred Perry Shirt mean to you?
I think Fred Perry clothing knows the value of remembering its history and staying true to its original brand vision, which seems to have existed since the beginning of modern men's fashion.
Which subcultures have had an enduring effect on you?
The biker culture influenced me a lot.
Best place you have travelled to?
Sumba, Indonesia.
Which music genre defines you?
Urban-pop with a little bit jazz and RnB, rock.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
“In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man. Now I’ve reached that age, I’ve tried to do all those things the best I can”
From 'Good Times Bad Times' by Led Zeppelin.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Scorpio' by Dennis Coffey - that’s the stuff.
Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Estate - Live' by João Gilberto.
Any new music you are into at the moment?
Not right now.
'Mercy Mercy Me' by Marvin Gaye.
I think this song reflected the environmental destruction that made the world's headlines at the time. Far away from romantic ballads.
'Virginia Moo' by Foo Fighters.
This song is one of the most amazing Foo Fighters’ songs I have ever heard. I think this song proved once and for all that there is no boundary on what the Foo's can do.
'3Hands / Devine Hand I' by Mndsgn.
I think this song represents god and that unseen guidance we can feel throughout life.
'Little Boy' by Sault.
This song is a tribute to fragile childhood innocence.
'Tides' by Lake Komo.
One of my favourite songs ever, this song takes me back to when I was seventeen, got so sad when the band disappeared all of a sudden taking their music away from us.
'Time (You And I)' by Khruangbin.
This song will always remind me of the happy warm fuzzy feeling.
'Where Eagles Dare' by The Misfits.
Misfits are timeless!
'Backdrop To Boredom' by Todd Dorigo.
This is f*cking gold dude I am so glad I stumbled upon this. Pure raw talent.
'Dontcha' by The Internet.
Syd’s voice flows so effortlessly on this track, they understand the power of the bass!
'Now She's Gone' by Felt.
The lyrics are powerful and real, literally the freest melody of all the time.
'Break Your Promise' by The Delfonics.
This track makes me sad. I get a sense of nostalgia. This was real music. I wish the music would go back to this era. When there was soul in the music.
'Do You Realize??' by The Flaming Lips.
This song makes you really realize love is the only important thing here and every second of life is a treasure.
