Name, where are you from?
C: Charlotte Adigéry, Belgium, but Belgium doesn’t agree. And Martinique and Guadeloupe, but not quite either. So Venus I guess.
B: Bolis Pupul, Mars.

Describe your style in three words?
C: Ec-lec-tic.
B: Simple but different, classic with a twist, playful.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
C: Erykah Badu just before the pandemic in Utrecht. I forgot about my body and felt connected to everybody in the audience and on stage. Erykah Badu is funny as hell, you could see she was having fun.
B: Beck playing 'Devils Haircut' in 1997 at T/W festival in Belgium. That’s when I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life (age eleven).

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
C: Prince, one of the best artists of all time. Eugene Mona, Martiniquan artist, a force of nature.
B: Prince cos he is the best artist ever who is always good and Nina Simone cos she is a force of nature who sings right from the heart.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
C: Punk and hip-hop. Rebellious, anti-establishment, daring to be different.
B: Nu rave, the cross over between rock and electronic music was something that appealed to me back in the day. Analog synths and distorted guitars galore.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
C: Maya Angelou (and 50 Cent).
B: I would spend an hour with 50 Cent and invite my friend Charlotte Adigery to the room and watch her get awkward.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
C: The Barrowlands in Glasgow. The energy was mental, people were so warm and open to getting to know new music. They all came to have a good time and they all seemed super grateful for being there, enjoying music, being together.
B: Vooruit in Gent, not because it’s the best venue soundwise but because I have so many good memories playing there, as a young musician, getting opportunities, going to my first parties as a teenager, seeing great concerts of other bands and last but not least we ended our last tour there in front of our home crowd and it was epic.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
C: My mom, Christiane Adigéry, who makes everybody shed a tear when she sings because it comes from such an authentic place. She has a beautiful voice, warm and raw. And she never dared to really go for it, which she regrets a lot.
B: I would say my sister Sarah Yu Zeebroek, who is an incredible artist with a brain I love to pick, she is always there when I need her and I couldn’t imagine being who I am today without her. She makes great art and is very smart.
