A true original, the G12 hasn’t changed much since it was originally designed by Fred Perry in the ‘50s. Legend has it that a buyer from Lillywhites requested the addition of football team colours to the plain-colour Fred Perry Shirt. So, Fred added subtle club colours to the collar and cuff and our G12 was born. The piece that took us from sportswear to streetwear and the first to carry our signature twin tipping in the 5-4-4 ratio that’s unique to us. Designed in Fred's famous streamlined fit – slightly boxier than our G3600 – its production is a real labour of love, with each polo knitted, dyed, cut, embroidered and hand-finished in Leicester, England. The black tennis shirt with champagne tipping was our very first colourway. Designed in the late 1950s as a subversive take on the original white tennis shirt. The colours of anti-establishment.
