Our collaboration with the foundation goes back to Amy's very first designs for Fred Perry. Rooted in the singer’s sportswear and pin-up silhouettes, we adapt the Fred Perry Shirt with a long placket and turn-up collar and cuffs – just as Amy styled it herself. The shirt is signed off with two carefully-placed red love hearts: a reference to her distinctive tattoos. As Amy's legacy continues, so too does our collaboration with the Amy Winehouse Foundation. We continue to make a contribution to the charity with each collection, supporting their vital work for vulnerable young people.
20% of the net revenue received by Fred Perry goes to the Amy Winehouse Foundation (Reg. Charity no: 1143740), estimated to amount to £280,000 per year. The Amy Winehouse Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales set up in the memory of the late singer. The Charity works to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people. It also aims to support, inform and inspire vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to help them reach their full potential.
