Name, where are you from?
404 Guild (Bathwater, Devenny, Sonny and Eliot), Eastbourne.
Describe your style in three words?
Science fiction/fantasy.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
B: black midi at the Windmill. I first saw black midi playing with my friends’ band Socket in 2017. I heard their first song from outside, ran in to see what was happening and have legit never been excited to hear a band for the first time. I’d seen a lot of my favourite artists live by that point but nothing compared to seeing them play.
Which Subcultures have influenced you?
D: Hardcore music/shows. You can’t beat the solidarity and energy of a hardcore show, I vividly remember my first Breaking Point and Turnstile gigs being madness.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
S: A meal with Anthony Bourdain.
D: There’s no one better.
Of all the venues you’ve been to, which is your favourite?
B: The Montague Arms was an amazing venue - setting for some of my favourite memories and shows in my first few years of living in London. I really miss the sound of that place as well as all the steampunk.
D: Deptford Bunker will always hold a special place in my heart with it being the first place we played a gig together.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
D: Akira Yamaoka. One of my favourite video game composers/musicians of all time, I feel a lot of people could benefit from his discography and work across all the games he’s done.

The first track you played on repeat?
B: 'Clint Eastwood' by Gorillaz. My sister bought me the first Gorillaz album in 2001 and I obsessed over 'Clint Eastwood'. I think it was months before I listened to the rest of the album because I would literally stand by the stereo and play that track on repeat until someone told me to stop.
D: 'Baby Be Mine' by Michael Jackson.
A song that defines the teenage you?
S:'Are You Ready?' by Skepta. An Eastbourne Gilly park classic.
One record you would keep forever?
E: 'The Closest Thing To Heaven' by The Kane Gang. Was in a charity shop on my 18th birthday and my Dad saw a 12” of it and just said "this is good" and bought it for me. I’ve danced to it, cried to it, played it at parties and afters and all the in-betweens. For me, it’s one of the best songs ever. The sleeve is completely wrecked - as it should be.
D: 'Give Me The Night' by George Benson. I gave sonny this record when we were 16/17 as a birthday gift, he’s kept it close ever since.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
D:"As a dove flew out the glove of the magician
It was just as I predicted, reality is prescribed"
From 'Flash Gordon' by Roc Marciano - one of best lyricists of all time, no debate.
A song you wished you had written?
D: 'Go West' by Mr. Mister. Life would be a lot easier if I had of written this song!
Best song to turn up loud?
'Con te Partirò' by Andrea Bocelli. Great tune to put on towards the end of a party. Big drama and big emotion. Don’t know a single lyric but it always gets everyone singing.
D: 'MOSHPIT' by Baby Keem. I think I get the sense for a moshpit, likes on the gram make a bitch think she poppin’.
The song to get you straight on the dance floor?
'Rain' by Kerri Chandler. Move, move move.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
B: 'Limerence' by Yves Tumor. This song drinks my brain. Memory soup good night.
D: Sometimes you just gotta load up the batch and say good night.
Any new bands you are into at the moment?
B: 'Tears Into The Sun' by Tiberius B. I have been waiting for Tiberius B to release a project since I heard 'No Smoke' after meeting them at a market Sonny and Eliot were working at a couple of summers ago. The whole Stains EP is incredible and this song breaks my heart.
D: 'Drift' by Sam Akpro. Been a close friend of sams for a few years but he’s beyond talented and one of the best songwriters I know! 'Drift' is personally for a different kind of feeling, very mad soundscapes.
